Australian Criminal defence law and who has the right to practice it?

Law is the one and only thing standing between the natural order found in the jungle and what we call “civilization”. If those who have the licenses to practice it are not following the ethical and legal guidelines as outlined by the Legal Profession Uniform Law Australian Solicitors’ Conduct Rules 2015, Legal Profession Uniform Conduct (Barristers) Rules 2015 and general ethics of conduct. Truth becomes the first victim and chaos returns as the natural order as society slowly slips back to the middle ages with the facade of modernity.

If Confidentiality and Privilege, Conflict of Interest, Prosecutorial Fairness and Duty to the Court are not all respected or adhered to, then crime becomes the norm. Corruption becomes how things get done instead of rigerous process to ensure truth stands and order is maintained.

Those who have these licences should be held to the same rigorous high standards as those holding the physical firearms as they both have the means, power and ability to take human life one with a pen and the other with a bullet.

As the old saying goes “truth is the first casualty of war” as there are countless conflicts raging around the world. There is no such thing as truth currently. For power is what rules not truth and as long as that is the case there is no reality that can not be altered to whomever has the power to alter it to their whims.

Especially those who practice Criminal Law, as they know the circuit inside and out and can alter “truth” to suit their needs and explain away inconveniences using legalese and “fanciful” language. As the saying goes birds of a feather flock together so if there is one criminal defence lawyer eroding truth and wielding institutions which are meant to be there in order to ensure order there are likely to be many littered throughout the system.

Working in tandem not to defend their clients or uphold the laws that are meant to legislate for the benefit of the citizenry but in order to maintain their own comfort and lifestyles at the cost of the average ordinary citizen.
